Jacky
Major: Biology & Medical Anthropology
Minor: Chemistry
As a Biology & Medical Anthropology double major at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jacky has had experience tutoring biology, chemistry, and mathematics. As a pre- dental student, Jacky excelled at the Dental Admissions Test (DAT) and has even tutored fellow peers. Jacky also enjoys mentoring and teaching children as a piano teacher for Musical Empowerment and works at UNC Children’s Hospital managing the Play Atrium. While in High School, Jacky was on the Varsity Basketball team, in National Science Honors Society, in National Math Honors Society and ranked in the top 1% of his class. His favorite UNC memory so far was beating Duke during March Madness and being able to rush Franklin!
Boyce
Major: Biology
Minor: Conflict Resolution
Boyce started his college career studying Biology at NC State where he placed #1 in his class for two years before transferring UNC Chapel Hill. Boyce has been involved in various tutoring programs since high school and is passionate about teaching and building connections with his mentees.
Beyond academics, Boyce has extensive experience giving music lessons for drums, guitar, and piano. His personal interests range from football and videogames to music and arts and he is very willing and easy to talk to on any subject.
Meitra
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Chemistry, Data Science
As a Neuroscience major at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Meitra shares her passion for learning by tutoring Mathematics, Sciences, and English. On campus, she has enjoyed working as an associate editor for the Carolina Scientific Magazine, playing the flute in the symphony orchestra, and working as an undergraduate research assistant. While in high school, Meitra played on the varsity basketball and tennis teams, was the flute section leader for marching and concert band, and volunteered at a local hospital. Her favorite UNC memory so far is rushing Franklin Street after beating Duke in the Final Four!
