Becoming Tar Heels and joining the “Carolina Family” was always our life-long dream. It began over 2 decades ago when our parents would routinely (almost seasonally) take us to visit a beloved family member and sorority house mom who worked at UNC, “Auntie Lee”. Our earliest memories as youngsters was enjoying the historic campus, attending numerous sporting events and shopping at the on-campus UNC bookstore and on Franklin Street for “Carolina Blue” school-spirit wear. Years later, as we began to think about the college application process, there was only one top choice: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Throughout the years we came to not only love the beauty of the historic Chapel Hill campus and top sporting events, most importantly we came to appreciate the commitment to academic rigor and excellence and giving back to one’s community that is expected here. From an early age, we both dreamed that someday we too could attend “Carolina”, and today, we are both thriving undergraduate students, soon to be proud “Carolina” alumni. We now look forward to being contributing members of “Tar Heel Nation” throughout our lifetimes.

Tar Heel Tutors, Inc. not only helps fellow Tar Heel undergraduate and graduate students earn extra college money, it also helps the next generation of future Tar Heels gain the same sense of adoration we have for this amazing and storied university. In fact, a goal of Tar Heel Tutors, Inc. will be to sponsor and award scholarships for exceptional Tar Heel tutors, future incoming Tar Heel freshman, as well as support many other University philanthropic efforts.

Our mission is to create a Tar Heel academic community for aspiring Tar Heel applicants by offering tutoring services delivered by exceptional UNC Chapel Hill undergraduate and graduate students who help high school students excel on their SAT & ACT college entrance exams, AP exams, individual school subjects, and who provide insight into life at “Carolina” prior to application!

We are an academic community that offers networking opportunities for all future Tar Heel applicants, and we look forward to you engaging with us in a robust academic online environment while learning more about the day and life of becoming a successful Carolina Tar Heel!
